Het begon met een vraag: hoe kun je licht in meer dan één vorm vasthouden. Het antwoord ligt hier, in de stille convergentie van twee lichtgevende bollen. Een Zuidzeeparel en een zoetwaterparel, elk 5 mm groot, zijn omhuld met 14-karaats geelgoud. Hun verschillende texturen – de ene een diepe, satijnen gloed, de andere een zachtere, etherische glans – creëren een dialoog van glans. Daartussen is een diamant van 0,013 karaat gezet, niet als accent, maar als definitieve punt in de zin.

Dit is een hanger met een bewust gewicht en aanwezigheid, van 9,5 bij 9,2 millimeter. De verstelbare ketting van 16 tot 17 inch zorgt ervoor dat hij precies daar rust waar hij gezien moet worden. De constructie is substantieel, met een totaalgewicht van 1,48 gram, wat een gevoel van integriteit belooft bij elke slijtage. Het is voor het individu dat begrijpt dat echte luxe fluisterend spreekt en de lagen ervan pas bij nadere inspectie onthult.
