Er schuilt een zeker rustig vertrouwen in een strakke lijn. Het is het gevoel van een enkele, beslissende streek op papier, of het scherpe silhouet van de skyline van een stad in de schemering. Deze ketting begint met dat gevoel: een dunne staaf van warm 14-karaats geel goud, waarvan de randen zacht met de hand zijn afgerond, zodat het aanvoelt als een bekend geheim op je huid.

Het licht verspreidt zich hier niet; het reist. Het glijdt langs het gepolijste gouden oppervlak totdat het de enkele, op de rand gezette diamant ontmoet. Er zijn geen tanden, alleen een naadloos nest van metaal dat de steen veilig houdt, waardoor het stille vuur de punt wordt aan het einde van de elegante zin van de bar. Het gewicht is opzettelijk, een zachte, constante herinnering aan de inhoud, aan een verstelbare ketting die zijn perfecte plaats vindt bij het sleutelbeen.

Het is minder een sieraad en meer een focuspunt: een persoonlijk anker van verfijnd licht en lijn.
