Deze oorbel is vervaardigd uit massief 14-karaats geelgoud en begint met een fundament van blijvende waarde. Het metaal is met opzet zwaar bewerkt, wat resulteert in een aanwezigheid die eerder wordt gevoeld dan gezien: een stille zekerheid van substantie op de huid.

Het midden is een enkele, diepgekleurde amethist, zorgvuldig uitgesneden tot een nauwkeurig profiel van 5 bij 2,5 millimeter. Onze zetters zetten de steen vast met een strakke, onopvallende rand waardoor de natuurlijke violette tint van de edelsteen de aandacht trekt, omlijst door de warme gloed van het goud zonder afleiding.

Het ontwerp wordt geaccentueerd door pavégezette diamanten van in totaal 0,04 karaat. Elke microsetting wordt met de hand uitgevoerd, een techniek die ervoor zorgt dat de stenen vanuit elke hoek het licht opvangen, waardoor een subtiele, continue schittering ontstaat die eerder complementair is dan concurreert. Het resultaat is een uniek stukje draagbaar kunstenaarschap, gedefinieerd door de balans tussen gedurfde kleuren en verfijnd vakmanschap.
